Dear Gymea Community,
Further to our announced temporary closure of Gymea Eco Retreat & Spa on Monday March 16th, 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it has become abundantly clear that we will not be in a position to reopen until it is safe and prudent to do so.
As hopefully is evident, we strive to be a Values Based organisation who is committed to keeping everyone safe, staff, guests, hosts and co-creators, and now with the closure of borders and heightened restrictions around non-essential travel, contact and gatherings announced by the PM and Government, it is no longer possible for us to reopen until we have been given the green light from the authorities.
We appreciate the ramifications for this decision may be difficult and far reaching for all of us and we hope that this action will make a positive contribution to keeping our loved ones safe by stemming the spread of coronavirus.
So, in terms of the implications of our closure to you, this is our guidance, at this time.
If you are a Retreat Host please click here for more information on how we propose to fairly and transparently manage the opportunities and challenges presented by COVID-19.
If you are a Retreat Guest, who has booked into a retreat organised by one of Retreat Hosts, then you will need to contact your host who can let you know what’s happening in the light of the COVID-19 virus.
If you are part of Gymea Healing Spa community or a gift voucher holder, we will be open when we can, and I guess we all need to sit tight and see what develops over the next period of time.
We trust that during this “time off”, clarity will descend, and we will all be able to move forward making positive change for ourselves, our families, our communities and mother nature.
Please stay safe and be responsible for undertaking the social distancing guidance as identified by Government and we look forward to seeing you on the other side.
Much love,
Stephen & Sonia
